This exam is conducted to fill out a total of 317 posts in the flying branch, ground duty (technical) branch, and ground duty (non-technical) branch. Also, the admit card for the same will be released on 24 July 2024 on the official website.Â
AFCAT 2024 Exam: Registration feesÂ
Candidates registering for AFCAT 2024 exam will need to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 550. However, candidates from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) special entry are exempt from this fee.
AFCAT 2024 Exam: Exam patternÂ
The AFCAT 2024 exam will consist of general awareness, verbal ability in English, numerical ability, and reasoning and military aptitude tests. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours, carrying 100 questions, and the maximum marks allotted will be 300.
AFCAT 2024 Exam: Marking scheme
Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and no marks will be awarded for un- attempted questions.
The age limit is decided according to the posts i.e.Â
- Flying Branch: The Candidate’s age should be between 20 to 24 years.
- The upper age limit for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India is relaxable up to 26 years.
- Ground Duty Branches: Candidates age should be between 20 years to 26 yearsÂ

- Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. afcatcdac.in.Â
- Then click on the apply link available on the home page.Â
- Register yourself and fill out the application form.Â
- Pay the required fees and click on submit.Â
- At last click on submit and download the confirmation page.Â
- Candidates can take a printout of the same for future reference.
