The candidates may note that they will require their credentials like roll number and password to view or download their results. Also, the seats are assigned to the candidates on the basis of  JEE Main and JEE Advanced merit, candidate preferences, category, and seat availability.Â
According to the official schedule, the online reporting, including fee payment, and document verification of shortlisted candidates is scheduled from June 20 to June 25. The deadline to respond to queries for JoSAA 2024 round 1 admission list is June 26.
For booking their respective seats the candidates are required to pay the booking fees according to their category i.e. the candidates belonging from SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), GEN-PwD (General – Persons with Disabilities), GEN-EWS-PwD (General – Economically Weaker Section – Persons with Disabilities), OBC-NCL-PwD (Other Backward Class – Non-Creamy Layer – Persons with Disabilities), SC-PwD (Scheduled Caste – Persons with Disabilities), ST-PwD (Scheduled Tribe – Persons with Disabilities) will pay 15,000 rupees whereas, the candidates belonging to another category will pay 35,000 rupees as seat booking fees.Â
JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: Options for the candidatesÂ
- Freeze: Select this if you are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not want to participate in any further rounds of JoSAA counseling 2024.
- Float: Choose this if you are happy with the current seat but would like to be considered for seats in other institutes in the upcoming rounds of JoSAA seat allocation.
- Slide: Opt for this if you accept the allotted seat but are also open to admission into a higher-preference course within the same institute.

- Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. josaa.nic.in.Â
- Click on the result link available on the home page.Â
- Enter your credentials and click on submit.Â
- The result will appear on the screen of the candidate.Â
- After viewing, download the same and take a printout for future reference.Â
